Amravati City now has vast industrial areas, educational institutes and good hospitals. The city is well developed with good roads, shopping centres, residential areas, holesale markets at Jaisthamb Square, Morshi Road etc. some welknown trader like Sindh garment, Samrat fashion, D'Sons Apperal and also has good communication and transport infrastructure. Amravati is near to the Chikhaldara, Meaghat (Tiger Project). Amravati is also devotional palce like Amba Devi Mandir is very famous place.
Amravati is the hometown of the Smt. Pratibha Patil, the 12th President of India.

In Navaratri, there's a fair which goes on for 9 days where people from nearby towns and villages participate and dance Garba/Dandiya until late in the evening. The city is also known for the Sai Temple along with Bhaktidham situated in Sai Nagar and Shree Swami Samarth temple situated in Rahatgaon. Other major Indian festivals like Diwali and Holi are also celebrated with lots of enthusiasm.
